Sun Tzu said: “If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by.” A modern version of this would be: If you watch the progressive media long enough something truthful will float by. It requires patience but as the 16th Earl of Oxford said: “The truth will out.” James Garfield, US President said: “The truth will set you free but first it will make you miserable.” This is evident when you see the dyspeptic expressions on the faces of CNN and MSNBC commentators when they confront any evidence that contradicts their reportage.

Take for example the now thoroughly debunked Trump Russian collusion hoax. We have seen a former FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith, admit to altering a document related to Carter Page in order to help secure a FISA warrant. It turns out that adding the word “not” to a declarative sentence can materially change the meaning of that sentence. And we now have the indictment of Michael Sussman, a member of Team Clinton circa 2016, for making false statements to the FBI concerning the fabrication of evidence to support the conspiracy theory. Special Counsel John Durham has now subpoenaed the records of Perkins Cooie a law firm which employs a number of Clinton consiglieres. It is rumored that he is also looking closely at Fusion GPS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Clinton Inc. Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, the JK Rowling of political fiction, to confect a dossier that reflected negatively on Donald Trump. Imagine sitting by that river and watching Adam Schiff’s raison d’etre floating by toes up.

How about that story about Hunter Biden (described by his father “the smartest man I know”) and his lost laptop. Remember that the aforementioned Adam Schiff for brains described that laptop as a classic piece of Russian disinformation. That alone should have tipped you off as to its authenticity. When the New York Post broke to story in 2020 the Ministry of Truth dis-invited them from Facebook. Welllllll…it is now agreed that the laptop is real. It is, in fact, Hunter Biden’s and it contains some very troubling information about his father, who may be the dumbest man Hunter knows. A book by Miranda Devine, Laptop From Hell, will be carefully hidden on bookstore shelves in late November. Apparently Ms. Devine has access to the totality of the contents of the Hunter Biden laptop. The crickets are tuning up!

The National School Board (and snowflake protection) Association (NSBA) recently wrote a letter to President Biden suggesting that parents who complain to local school boards are akin to “domestic terrorists” and requesting FBI support to combat such outrageous behavior. The letter was read to Biden over milk and cookies before his bedtime at 5:30 and some unnamed apparatchik in the White House then fired the letter off to our embarrassing excuse of an Attorney General for immediate action. The most viral video clip supporting the perceived “threat” to school board members shows Scott Smith, father of a student at a Loudoun County school, being accosted by the police and arrested during a meeting of the school board. Take a seat by that river… It turns out that Mr. Smith’s daughter had been sexually assaulted by a “gender fluid” male student in the girl’s room at school. I defy you to find a single reference to gender fluidity prior to the turn of the last century.

Smith was reacting to a denial by members of the school board that any such assault had actually occurred. The Ministry of Truth and the leftist media circled the wagons, condemning Smith and supporting the call for federal intervention to protect government officials that are being threatened by Taliban-like parents questioning certain school policies. Now the Loudoun County school board has acknowledged that the assault did take place (the gender fluid young man struck again after he was transferred to another school) and admitted that they failed to report this and other such incidents as required by state law. Now back to those terrorist soccer moms challenging Critical Race Theory, mask mandates and school bathroom policies.

Facts are finally being released about the January 6, 2021, “armed insurrection” at the Capitol. Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed Air Force veteran was shot and killed on January 6. A member of our left-wing media described her as a “trained killer” based on her military career and the Capitol policeman who shot her patted himself on the back for “saving countless lives”. This despite her diminutive stature and being unarmed. There is a picture of her wearing a MAGA hat which may have been enough to justify her assassination. They have now released videos of the “assault” on the Capitol and they are instructive. The first group to break into the building were all wearing Antifa uniforms, all black clothing and black face masks. The anarchic Wookie wearing the Viking helmet was the poster child for the event. He actually entered the Senate chamber and stood by the seat occasionally occupied by VP Waldo Harris…he increased the prestige of the position as he sports an IQ 20 points higher than Harris. As the camera pulls back we learn that there was a Capitol policeman accompanying him into the chamber and when the cop beckoned him to leave he followed the direction without hesitation. The videos of the “insurrectionists” were likened by one media wag to a “grandma selfie day” at the Capitol. You see no violence, no arms, no property destruction…just a bunch of tourists milling around. Not quite comparable to 9/11 as the left keeps saying.

In 2020 if you even tangentially suggested that the Wuhan COVID originated in Wuhan you earned a time-out from the Ministry of Truth. When Trump shut down travel from China he was accused of racism. Put aside the fact that the PRC had shut down travel from Wuhan within China. Vegas bookies were going broke trying to predict which way Bishop Fauci was going to jump on any given day. He had vigorously opposed the travel ban. Conspiracy theories were spreading faster than wildfires in California. My personal favorite was that the COVID began with Ozzy Osborne after it was revealed that he had bitten heads off live bats. Fast forward to the river watch: when Jon Stewart tells the world that COVID originated in Wuhan you can take that to the bank. Today even the left wing media agree with Stewart.

There are two problems that need to be acknowledged: (1) the Ministry of Truth, including the left-wing media, engages in pervasive censorship to ensure that the truth is either buried or delayed until the childlike attention span of the American public has been exhausted; and, (2) a false narrative is invariably created which allows the media commentators to distract from the real story.

A case in point is the NSBA fearmongering about threats to government officials that require intervention by the FBI. Threatening a government official is a crime. But most of the “confrontations” between school board members and frustrated parents are peaceful, comprised of angry questions and challenges that are ignored or shut down. The ability to turn off a microphone is a powerful weapon. The Smith video met both objectives: it censored the story of his daughters rape and created a false narrative of potential threats to school board members. Yet when Rand Paul is verbally and physically threatened on the streets of Washington DC the event is ignored. The left encourages the intimidation of Krysten Sinema and Joe Manchin. There is a group called Our Revolution that has said: “We’re going to make her life unpleasant or uncomfortable” until she follows orders. A group of women, including an illegal alien, chased Sinema into a public bathroom and verbally accosted her. The Nation described her as the “Senate’s newest super villain”. And a feminist blog Jezebel tweeted: “Absolutely Bully Krysten Sinema Outside Of Her Bathroom Stall.” Where are the calls for FBI protection? One person’s terrorism is another person’s political outreach.

Perhaps it is time to remind all Americans that the First Amendment protects the “right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” It should be allowed without the voice over by the Ministry of Truth and censorship of the efforts to bring the aggressive governmental agencies to heel. What happened to free and open dialogue? Our young people must learn that there will be ideas and arguments they don’t like that they cannot silence. The culture of fear perpetuated by the left must be confronted and broken or we will continue down the road toward 1984.

You can add commercial enterprise to the list of things that the left believes should not be free.

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is a little known nor long remembered government agency. Ask someone what the CISA portfolio is and you will be rewarded with a blank stare. The good news is that the nameless, faceless bureaucrats who populate that agency will be charged with controlling mis and disinformation during elections. What can possibly go wrong? The most powerful person in the process will be the person who defines mis and disinformation…how about giving former President Trump the gig?

A friend of this blog has related an outrageous story that sums up the carousel of incompetence that is the Biden administration. The man’s daughter has had COVID. She and her husband are trying to start a family. Their obstetrician has advised that the COVID vaccine might hinder their efforts to achieve pregnancy. The company where his daughter works has made it clear that if she refuses the vaccine she will be fired. As she has had COVID she has better resistance than the vaccine will provide, something which the science supports but Monsignor Fauci does not. She and her husband have a very strong argument against taking the vaccine. Alas the argument runs contrary to the authoritarian instincts of our dear leaders so they are being forced to make a very difficult decision. What happened to the “my body, my choice” school of thought?

A professor at Duke University stated with a straight face the “violence issue” is not a “crime issue”! Cross Duke off your kids college application list. It would be interesting to hear this clown explain the 29.4% increase in homicides from 2019 to 2020…the largest increase ever recorded. Note that 2020 was the year of the Democrat driven program to defund the police. Might there be some connection between these two data points?

Kyle Rittenhouse was confronted by 600 angry terrorists in Kenosha and killed three people all of whom turned out to be felons. You would have had to shoot 150,000 Tea Party congregants to have a chance of hitting three felons.

He made an observation that subtly removes the linchpin from the trust the science argument. “The fact that so many hypotheses are necessary to reconcile a theory with the facts should persuade one to abandon the theory itself.” The collapse of the climate crisis house of cards should follow immediately.

From the ongoing comedy that is our university system comes the following story. An LGBT group at a major seat of “higher” learning designated a day for support of the LGBT community calling for everyone to wear jeans to show support for the group. As most students wear jeans it allowed a high level of self-congratulation. A group of pranksters announced “heterosexual footwear day” calling on students to wear shoes if you are heterosexual. The poster said: “Don’t bend for a friend.” Very clever and it should have been laughed off. The administration designated this as an “incident of harassment” proving once again that most leftists have had successful humor bypasses.

Snaps to our Secretary of Transportation for creating snafus at every West Coast port. The Grinch is putting Christmas at risk. I think we can conclude that Pete Buttagieg getting the job, based solely on his knowledge of bike paths in South Bend, may have been an HR failure.
