Answers at the end of this post

Paraphrasing Captain Renault in Casablanca: I am shocked to find that Donald Trump, counselor at Baldur von Schirach’s Hitler Youth summer camp, Mein Kampf devotee, honorary Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan and hot tub partner of Vladimir Putin, had actually been President of the United States for four years.

Most certainly a study of his presidency would yield a treasure trove of sinister Nazi activities, policies and programs designed to promulgate a totalitarian regime. Surely, he must have had his political opponents, such as Hillary Clinton, dragged off planes in shackles and sent to a newly created Gulag Archipelago in California or some other politically backward region of the country. There must be a record of Orwellian attempts to shut down or control opposition media, early FBI/Gestapo morning raids on innocent citizens who supported his opponents and the internment and/or disappearance of the entire LBGTQ#Y&P community. Where is the evidence?

Or is it possible that he simply forgot to implement his secret plot to create the Fourth Reich?

Let’s review what we know about the malevolent doings of the first Trump administration. This might provide insight into what we can expect when he becomes the second Grover Cleveland.

The Economy

Consumer confidence reached an eighteen year high. Black unemployment was reduced to the lowest level ever recorded. Hispanic and Asian unemployment levels slashed to the lowest levels ever recorded. Female unemployment hit the lowest level since 1953. Shades of Mein Kampf!

Unemployment of the young was at its lowest level in fifty years. This may have been driven by the dramatic reduction in illegal crossings at the southern border which opened up new entry level employment opportunities, The downside is that it probably reduced attendance at the Trump Nazi reeducation camps.

American businesses saw a dramatic reduction in growth suppressing government regulations. For every new regulation, passed twenty-two regulations were repealed. An outbreak of free enterprise, There were many complaints from the Democrats that such actions were hindering the growth of fascism in our country.

Jobless claims reached their lowest level in five decades (to help our Democrat readers that is fifty years). Job openings exceeded the number of people looking for work for the first time on record. Over five million new jobs were created, including over 100,000 in oil and natural gas transportation. 85% of blue-collar workers actually believed the economy was “headed in the right direction”. Today that number is about 24%!

The inflation rate was under 2% when Trump left office in 2021.

Immigration

Team Trump built a fence to reverse the open border policy of Obama and company. This reduced border crossings to a trickle. The President of Mexico did not embrace the restricted flow of illegal immigrants so Trump closed the border to Mexican trucking and, as if by magic, Obrador saw the light, and the caravans were sent back home.

Energy

Construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline was freed from federal obstacles. The US withdrew from the foolish and unworkable Paris Climate Agreement. Fracking was being briskly implemented.

As a result, the US became the world’s largest exporter of crude oil first the first time in history. The nation achieved energy independence for the first time in more than sixty years.

Foreign Policy

ISIS was given the full Kervorkian treatment. Putin took a four year hiatus from attacking his southern neighbor, The Ukraine. Kim Jung On ceased his missile assaults on Pacific Ocean wildlife. There were plans being made to withdraw from Afghanistan but, luckily, our military geniuses saw that as a Fascist subterfuge and they effectively undermined the effort. They knew his successor would better manage the peaceful removal of our troops. NATO countries began to pay a portion of their defense costs.

The administration successfully implemented The Abraham Accords, normalization agreements between Israel and the UAE, Morocco, Bahrain and the Sudan. The terms of a fifth agreement had been reached with Saudi Arabia but it was not signed before the enlightened Biden administration took the international reins. Apparently Blinken couldn’t determine where the paperwork was filed and the agreement was never signed. It is reliably rumored that the unnecessary provocation resulting from the Abraham PEACE Accords were the sole cause of the Hamas invasion of Israel in 2023.

Long-term Impacts

Three names: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney-Barrett. Enough said.

How do we interpret these previous unknown data? Is it a precursor of a second term or a reminder to Trump that he was distracted from his real purpose…a Fourth Reich, the strengthening of our systemic racism and the destruction of our media? You decide!

  1. My only wish about this post is that every “Trump” had not appeared in the “answers to pop quiz” section. Yes, sarcasm is a key ingredient in this blog, but if we spread this around some will not understand it is sarcasm there.
The policy summary from Trump’s first term — thought-provoking, excellent, wish Trump were that articulate.
