We are living in a period of ever increasing social and political instability.

The American Revolution was based on classical liberal principles: individual liberty, limited government, and economic freedom. Our Constitution embodies basic human rights and Judeo-Christian values. As John Adams said: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” The preamble to the Constitution includes the desire to “insure domestic tranquility”. In other words, it was intended to create a stable system of governance.

By way of contrast the anarchic architects of the French Revolution were bound and determined to destabilize the Ancient Regime, the political and social system of France prior to the Revolution. They unmoored the government of France from Christian faith thereby removing the moral foundation on which the entire society was based. They managed to transform Liberté, Égalité, and Fraternité into the tyrannical rule of Napoleon Bonaparte which, in turn, resulted in the devastation of an entire generation of Frenchmen.

It is important to identify those who would profit by the destabilization of the social and political order of the United States. Some candidates are the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, acolytes of Saul Alinsky including the likes of Hilliary and Obama, George Soros, the Iranian theocracy, and adherents to the political theories of Cloward-Piven, Karl Marx, Herbert Marcuse and Paulo Freire. A “wretched hive of scum and villainy” as Obi Wan Kenobi might describe it.

The institutions targeted to help accomplish this destabilization are the American family, our public education system and the social media.

The Family

Lenin was quite clear about the need to replace parents with an all-encompassing state. The novel 1984, by George Orwell, describes what a Marxist-Leninist world would look like, During the “revolution” of the 1960’s the mantra was: “Never trust anyone over 30”. The term originated with Jack Weinberg, a Berkeley activist from that period. It was taken to the streets by Abbie Hoffman, founder of the Youth International Party (the Yippies). Hoffman ended up committing suicide having contributed nothing to the advancement of a civil society. The mantra was a euphemism for “Never trust your parents.”

Lyndon Johnson, who gained fame when he became President by removing to the one obstacle to his promotion, was the author of a program (The “not so” Great Society) that did unspeakable damage to minority families. The LBJ administration financially rewarded young women for having children but the benefits were withheld if the women married or cohabited with the fathers of the children. Prior to this program about 20% of minority children were raised in single parent households. Today that number exceeds 70%. The government forced instability into minority communities and this ruinous act has been strongly criticized by Thomas Sowell, among others, and the social and academic damage is manifest in every major metropolitan area.

Children today are assaulted by dystopian fears such as climate change which are attributed to forces that were created and supported by past generations. Thus the children have no respect or perspective about their heritage. The great Covid scare was designed to frighten children and cultivate a sense that only the government can protect them. The so-called trans movement is designed to support third party interventions in the family dynamic. These fears are exacerbated by a relentless barrage of stories on social media and in schools that are designed to interpose a shield that will “protect” children from their parents. Any information that does not support the social narrative is censored and those who try to communicate the counter-narrative are vilified.

Ultimately the purpose is to have an all-encompassing state replace any parental influence.

Education

It has been a common theme on this site that the education establishment believes the schools should become de facto parents and that the neutered parents should have no role in the education process. This creates a destabilizing conflict in the minds of children. Teaching something in school which is not accepted, or, worse, is contradicted, by the parents, propagates a sense of confusion and divided loyalty the mind of that student. The ubiquitous access to social media increases that confusion. The power of a teacher to adversely impact the transcript of each student mutes any resistance to this disruptive messaging.

The National Education Association has recently adopted platform items that would support “dissenting and organizing against Trump’s policies”. They support distribution of a “Know Your Rights” document to oppose allowing parents to opt out of gender ideology. Inexplicably the NEA defeated a provision “to rededicate itself to the pursuit of increased student learning in every public school in America”. Read that last item carefully…the education establishment does NOT want “increased learning” in our schools.

Mitch Albom, an American author, wrote: “All parents damage their children. It cannot be helped. Youth, like pristine glass, absorbs the prints of its handlers. Some parents smudge, others crack, a few shatter childhoods completely into jagged little pieces, beyond repair.” Randi Weingarten couldn’t have said it better.

Ultimately the purpose is to have an all-encompassing state controlling what the government sees as “their children”. The alienation of our children continues apace.

Social Media

Heroin, crack cocaine, fentanyl, crystal meth, LSD and social media are the leading addictive drugs available in America. These drugs play a significant role in destabilizing the world in which our children live and learn.

Social media is protected by our government despite the growing evidence that they are diminishing the intellectual independence of the young. Our children are now more easily manipulated and have become willing foot soldiers in the effort to deconstruct our republican system. We witness students in our colleges and universities engaged in dithyrambic chants in support of whatever the puppet masters of the Left identify as the issues of the day. Critical thinking is absent from every school curriculum and we are raising a group of followers who are conditioned to distrust any true leader. The violent actions of the domestic fascist terrorists of Antifa, BLM and the Squad are the inevitable result of these policies.

These are the seeds of social and political instability.

The next post will discuss the accelerating destabilization of our our Federal and state governments. Exhibit A will be the insurrection orchestrated by former President Obama and his henchmen in the misnamed intelligence community.
