Beginning with the First Crusade in 1085 the Middle East has been the target of eight European Crusades, including the Norwegian Crusade (1107), the Children’s Crusade (1212) and the Crusade of the Infants of Aragon (1269). The Eighth Crusade ended in 1291.
However 733 years later St. Greta of Thunberg launched the Swedish Crusade. In deference to her life-long obsession with anthropogenic global climate change Vice Admiral Thunberg assembled an armada of triremes, galleys, longboats and 23 Harvard rowing shells and set sail for Gaza. Apparently there was some unpleasantness with Israeli customs officials but the Vice Admiral also had to deal with a more distressing matter.
In 2025 the noted idiot savant William Henry Gates III pulled the plug on the doomsday climate activist crowd, comprised of the winsome Ms. Thunberg and a host of worldwide sufferers of ignorantia affectata. Gates wants the philanthropic community to drop the climate change grift and increase investment in “preventing disease and hunger”. Hertz has sold it’s entire fleet of electric vehicles and Ford has written off more than $19 billion to shut down it’s involvement in EVs. The wind turbine will soon be as extinct as the dodo bird.
Let’s review the bidding…
The Pleistocene Ice Age lasted from 110,000 BC to 14,700 BC. At the end of that period there was an estimated world human population of between 3-4 million people. There was at one point a 5,000 feet thick sheet of glacial ice on what is now Albany New York. If you have traveled to that area in the last few years you might have noticed that the entire glacier has melted away. In fact your humble scribe was raised in that area and never once did I race out my front door into a wall of ice. QED…glacier gone. Our research staff checked Google Maps for Albany, circa 15,000 BC and found no fossil fuel energy facilities, no highways or automobile traffic and methane production from cattle was non-existent. Yet somehow global warming arrived to make Schenectady possible.
Since the end of the Ice Age there have been fifteen alternating cooling and warming periods of between 300 and 4,000 years each.
It should be clear to anyone not imitating an ostrich that human activities have nothing to do with the natural and cyclical changes in the very complex global climate system. Yet we have a rich history of “Doomsday” warnings from these ignorami.

It is a sad commentary that many Ivy League college students, AWFELs and Democrat voters still cling to the anthropogenic climate change phantasmagoria. Word on the street is that St Greta is now pushing her latest theory…the Jews caused the Pleistocene Ice Age. If true it will conclusively prove that the Jews are the indigenous people of the Middle East.
Here’s to a glorious 2026, the semiquincentennial of our independence. The Democrat nomination sweepstakes will be better than an SNL skit: Tampon Tim, Gavin Gruesome, Kamala “Caesar Salad”, Harris, JB “Slim” Pritsker…and the winner will be…?????

Very refreshing, belly laugh laced post, appropriate to end the first quarter of the 21st century. I’d suggest the 3 % of scientists, not part of the fabled “consensus”, be nominated for some kind of Nobel prize.
Many years ago, I once examined the entrails of a fresh road kill on an ice and snow covered road in Pennsylvania, and interpreted that omen to mean it was dangerous to cross a road in winter. Does that make me a card carrying Haruspex?
My only criticism is you left out Texas’ new darling Jasmine Crockett from the powerful list of Democrat front runners.
