No Kings (and No Queens?)

Pop Quiz:

What President said: The people “have a right, an indisputable, unalienable, indefeasible, divine right to that most dreaded and envied kind of knowledge- I mean of the character and conduct of their rulers.”?

What Prime Minister said: “We have not overthrown the divine right of kings to fall down for the divine right of experts.”?

What anarchist writer said: “The average mind is slow in grasping a truth, but when the most thoroughly organized, centralized institution, maintained at an excessive national expense, has proven a complete social failure, the dullest must begin to question its right to exist. The time is past when we can be content with our social fabric merely because it is “ordained by divine right,” or by the majesty of the law.”

What American pundit said: “Since the early days, [the moral elite] has thrown itself violently against every effort to liberate the body and mind of man. It has been, at all times and everywhere, the habitual and incorrigible defender of bad governments, bad laws, bad social theories, bad institutions. It was, for centuries, an apologist for slavery, as it was an apologist for the divine right of kings.”?

Answers at the end of the post.

One must understand that the institution of a No Kings policy will involve much inconvenience and expense. All conventional decks of playing cards will be reduced to 48 cards and pinochle decks to 40, Cereal boxes and detergent containers will have to be reduced in size. Creche scenes will have to be downsized. And we will miss the King and I

During the recent No Kings event the following pre-printed signs suggested new levels of ignorance and villainy:

Is this not a clarion call for the assassination of our President? Is it conceivable that an aspiring Thomas Crooks might see this as a call to action?

At a number of events the NO Kings signs were juxtaposed with signs demanding that we “Say No to Fascism”. Were that there any Fascist kings? If so our history teachers failed to inform us.

Are the bearers of these childish placards not aware that the French anarchists lopped off the heads of Louis XVI and his lovely bride Marie Antoinette and the denouement of that regicide was the levitation of the Nightmare of Europe, Napoleon Bonaparte, to the position of Emperor? This, in turn, led to an estimated 3.5 million military and civilian deaths in Europe. Louis and Marie never attempted to engage in similar levels of brutality. Was Europe better off with “No King”? A further depressing item of Napoleonic interest…the Louisiana Purchase gave us Minnesota and Arkansas cradles of political mischief.

Watching video of the No Kings crowds was like watching the Lollipop Guild…cerebral Munchkins as far as the eye could see.

The premise of the No Kings protest is that Trump wants to forever remain in office, to become a modern Divine Right monarch. So perhaps we should review the recent history of American politics. The hated Orange Man was President from 2017 through January 20, 2021. On the latter date he left office as dictated by the Constitution thereby voluntarily postponing his monarchial dreams. That 46th peaceful transfer of power has been consigned to the mists of history.

However it should be noted that the 2021 transition was disrupted by some Deep State skullduggery. On January 6, 2021, a veritable “hive of scum and villainy” comprised of such folks as Christopher Wray, Gina Haspel, Nanny Pelosi and Mark Milley attempted to entice Trump into an insurrection which would, under the Fourteenth Amendment, have made him ineligible to hold Federal office. Biden did not participate because his family had him sequestered in Delaware trying to explain to him that he had been elected President and would have to move to Washington shortly.

The so-called “riot” was choreographed by a group of miscreants intent on creating a story that they could use for four years to ensure that Trump would not be returned to the White House by an ill-informed electorate. The FBI transferred Steve D’Antuono, the author of the faux Whitmer kidnapping conspiracy in Michigan, to the District of Columbia so he could continue to utilize his theatrical talents. Nanny Pelosi refused all offers by Trump to provide security for the Capitol on January 6. Ray Epps spent several days recruiting trespassers all of which was caught on video. The Capitol Police removed the barricades and opened the doors so they could usher the “violent” protestors into the building. The horned Shaman, who became the bete noir of the kerfuffle, was escorted at all times by 5 or 6 police. Videos, when they were finally released, showed the “trespassers” acting like tourists on selfie day. The facts did not live down to the post-game hype.

It is no stretch of the imagination to believe that the super secret, double probation plan was to “force” Trump to demand that Milley Vanilli, Chairman of the Joint Staff of Chiefs (as Obama referred to them) order troops to occupy the Capitol to preserve order thereby creating a real “insurrection”. Trump did not make that fatal error. It is likely that Milley would have ignored Trump and, instead, would have called CNN to sound the klaxon that the country was under attack by a rogue President. That should end any discussion about Trump wanting to be King. In addition we have now learned that 274 FBI assets were deployed to Capitol Hill in plain clothes to conduct crowd control at the Capitol. Plain clothes crowd control…say what? We may soon find out the FBI infiltrators were wearing MAGA gear…the better to keep an eye on the madding crowd.

So how serious is the Leftist concern about an imperial government?

There are presently ten members of the US Congress who have been in office for more than 40 years. Do we have an imperial legislature? If so, where is the concern? How about terms limits for members of Congress? As we have discussed this issue in the past we will simply remind you of how we might address the issue: No person would be allowed to serve more than twelve years in the US Congress, Senate and/or House. In addition each member of Congress would declare his or her net worth when they assume office. When they leave they will be required to declare their net worth and would be required to pay 80% of any increase directly to the US Treasury. It might restore the concept of a citizen’s Congress as the Founders envisioned.

Here’s how the Democrats were thinking when Obama was the Grand Fromage:

On June 8, 2012, Dean Obeidallah said: “What’s clear is that the liberals speaking out don’t want a president, they want a king. Albeit a liberal king – but still a king, who would be unrestrained by Congress as well as the checks and balances enshrined in our Constitution.” He was referring to His Royal Highness, Barry O.

In any case mark your calendars for December 16 when we will celebrate the 252nd anniversary of the original No Kings protest…the Boston Tea Party.

Beware of AWFEL…Affluent White Female Educated Leftists…the backbone of the rent a mob No Kings protesters. A reader of our posts had an AWFEL encounter and when our well informed reader presented facts the AWFEL lived down to her acronym by saying that facts are irrelevant because she “votes on emotion.” Madison weeps openly…

  2. Well done! I think you’ve made the case that the No Kings protest was possibly the dumbest organized protest in my lifetime.
It was interesting that the crowds had very few black folks, and an unusually high percentage of ridiculously dressed old white people.
It was interesting that when asked for specific examples of why they were protesting, the most prevalent answer was ” oh, there’s so many things, I don’t know where to start.”
It is interesting that the weekend’s activities have so quickly faded into obscurity.
My guess is the only entity that is happy about the whole event is McDonalds as they watched 100s of thousands demanding the “Home of the Whopper” be removed from the landscape.
I think the Dems missed an opportunity by not having antifa involved hurling Molotov Cocktails into hundreds of Burger Kings.

Loved AWFEL and the thought of Madison weeping openly.
