We stand with great trepidation on the edge of a post-Clinton world. For many it is long overdue and a breath of fresh air. For others it is an end to a long running sting operation. For a much smaller group it is sad and tragic conclusion to a lifetime pursuit of high office. In any case we can say parting is so sweet, forget the sorrow. We may not see Hilliary again until her indictment. And following a short hiatus in the war on women we should sound the warning…Bill Clinton will be dating again.
We should reflect on the stunning election of Donald Trump to be the next President of the United States…savor that sentence for a moment or two. Let’s look at three elements of the fallout: Hilliary’s reaction, the meltdown of the young across the country and the exposure of the main stream media, aka cheerleaders, for the now vanquished former first shrew.
According to sources close to the Clinton campaign Hilliary’s reaction to her defeat was as elegant and classy as she has been for most of her public career, which is to say rude, selfish, abusive, and vulgar. Who was that lady I saw you with? That was no lady that was Hilliary.
Apparently she went berserk in her room when the news came in that the good citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania had cast their lot with Mr. Trump making him the next President. She dropped more F bombs than the number of incendiary devices used in the firebombing of Dresden. She threw bric-a-brac all over her suite like a drunk at a fraternity party. She cursed the Gods and the good people of the United States. It was agreed among her disciples that she was not fit to appear in public to graciously concede to Mr. Trump so they sent the hapless John Podesta (made famous as an e mailer by Wikileaks) to mumble some bromides to the assembled distraught supporters indicating that Ms. Clinton would appear the very next morning to face the music.
It would be interesting to know what drugs she ingested and at what dosage such that she would be able to appear compos mentis as she made what was a very eloquent (it is impossible to use the world sincere when describing anything Hilliary says or does) concession of the election. Would it be cruel to suggest that there may be some substance to the conspiracy theory that she had a stunt double who could appear hale and hardy shortly after she collapsed while exiting one her campaign appearances? One has to ask because the concession speech was so un-Hilliary like.
There is finally a good reason to actually raise global temperatures…we have to melt all the self-absorbed precious snowflakes that are so disequilibrated by the election of Trump. The good news is that they are eliminating shock therapy because it turns out that strapping a patient to a chair and merely saying “President Trump” over and over is more effective.
You have to be curious as to motivation of these “protesters”. 129 of these hooligans have been arrested in Portland Oregon and only 79 of them were actually registered to vote in Oregon. I think we can assume that these folks did not even vote in the 2016 election so why are they so distraught? Have they not forfeited their right to object to the results? Sadly there are unable to articulate their objections to the election. You could make a tape of the comments made by these over educated (anything past the sixth grade in most cases) fools and run it on Comedy Central as a reality show. One woman was distraught that Trump was going to derail the fight against man made climate change and as a result the planet will be doomed. On the other hand if we can get the seas to rise about 30 feet it would wipe out the populous blue counties in the US and reduce the Democrat popular vote by millions. California would have 3 electoral votes when the tides finished their work. Another young skull full of mush was afraid that he would have to get a job…this would be a Santa Sanders supporter. Other carried Love trumps Hate sign which is a sophomoric piece of silliness at best. Most simply chant mindless monosyllabic slogans which happily for them can be easily memorized, require no critical thought and mean nothing. My personal favorite from the 1960s was: “Hey hey LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?”
The most interesting participants are college and high school “students” who are released from their classrooms by their alleged teachers to deal with the fear and loathing of a man who is not yet President. They gather outside their institutions of lower education which is akin to GM placing the carcasses of crashed cars outside their factories…cars that are a reflection of their product failures. Testaments to the absolute failure of the schools and the Department of Education.
There is a recurring theme of the protests…racism. Curious that there were no protests when Obama was elected in 2008 and them re-elected in 2012. The Republican Party is actually sad to see the Big O depart because he has managed to create, through his incompetence, a tidal wave of election success for the GOP: more than 900 additional state legislators (only 4 states now have a Democrat governor and a Democrat controlled legislature), 34 Republican governors and control of the White House and the US Congress. Four more years of Obama and Democrats would be an endangered species.
The most under-reported story of the 2016 election was the information disclosed by Wikileaks over the last month of the campaign. These were a veritable treasure trove of Machiavellian conspiracy (the entire DNC was working against Santa Sanders to preserve the inevitable election of Hilliary), disdain and contempt for the American people (anti-Catholic and anti-Semitic dialogue that should have shamed the participants) and evidence of the partnership between the media and the Clinton campaign (debate questions released to the Clinton team in advance and allowing the Clinton team to comment and edit news stories). There were disclosures that made clear that pay for play is the motto of the Clinton Foundation. Are those contributors now reviewing the refund provisions of their donation pledges…after all they are going to get very little from Trump. If this material had been related to Donald Trump there would have been relentless coverage by the media but, alas, it was ignored by the media including the revered NY Times but it did confirm the Times slogan…all the news that fits we print.
The story rather became the source of the various documents…Putin hacked the server of Podesta (Assange made it clear that Russia was not involved) and Donna Brazile’s suggestion that the emails should not be discussed because they were “stolen”. There was zero discussion of the content of the various communications disclosed by Wikileaks. Compare this to the breathless reporting of the various unsubstantiated claims by a series of women that Trump acted like Bill Clinton. Double standard anyone?
So what were the lessons of 2016 based on the reaction of keen observers:
Van Jones: The election was a “white lash”. Conclusion: Whites should not be allowed to vote for white candidates.
California: All seven registered Republicans voted for Trump. Conclusion: The next time Mexico says it wants California returned…give it to them.
War on women: If you don’t elect an incompetent, corrupt woman President then you are a foot soldier in that war. Conclusion: Run two women and avoid the problem. Caveat: Sarah Palin should not be one of the women.
The main stream media (MSM) are unbiased: Only 92% of the employees of the MSM are Democrats and supported Clinton. Conclusion: A lost cause.
Trump appealed to a disaffected silent majority: How did they get the right to vote? Conclusion: Trump won!
A now a moment of sober reflection as the fabled career of the only clinical moron in the US Senate comes to an end. Harry Reid is the most reprehensible man to serve in the Senate in my lifetime. He relies on Senatorial privilege to slander people like Mitt Romney who is an indisputably good man. He stood in the well of the Senate and related a story he was told by a friend that Romney had not paid taxes in a decade. When the story was refuted after the election Reid’s reaction was a reflection of his vile nature…”so what, we won”. Good riddance…
