Baldur von Schirach had a plan. That plan is now coming to fruition. Sleeper cells were established on US college campuses and they slumbered for more than 75 years. And now they have awakened and they are perfect practitioners of von Schirach’s teachings from the 1930’s.
Apparently all it took was the election of Donald Trump to trigger this awakening. The result has been the redefinition of civil political discourse. Step one: Ensure that nothing disturbs the childlike ignorance of the von Schirach sleepers. Step two: Avoid even inadvertent contact with thinking or logic. Step three: Raise the children such that they never encounter competition or the concept of winning and losing. Step four (most important): Build for each millennial a self-centric universe where they never, ever encounter anyone who disagrees with them or who might force them to confront reality. How did von Schirach anticipate our darling snowflake millennials?
It helps that the disciples of von Schirach are unable to understand even the simplest political or economic concepts as evidenced by their inability to understand terms like fascism, deficits or employment, not to mention tolerance. They riot against any action or utterance by President Trump and they are motivated solely by the fact that he doesn’t agree with them and won’t listen to their ravings. In addition they fervently believe that he should never have won in the first place. Their actions are devoid of justification and bad for the insurance industry.
The result…an Executive Order that temporarily restricts immigration from countries that have 17% of the world’s Muslim population becomes, in their simple minds, a permanent ban of all Muslims! And don’t confuse them with the facts. Within hours of the Order college campuses are thrown into anarchy by the uninformed…somehow the word “student” doesn’t seem to apply. Inconvenient truth: From 1930 through 1950 there was a total of 1.5 million immigrants into the US, an average of about 75,000 per year. The levels were set by the Immigration Act of 1924.
Trump is about to nominate a new Justice to the Supreme Court. The community agitators show up with preprinted signs with a blank where the nominees name should be. They are armed with magic markers so they can fill in the name once it is announced. Spelling was certainly a challenge for many. Let’s crawl out on a limb and suggest that the qualifications or political persuasion of the nominee were not going to make much difference. Show me which way the crowd is going so I can lead them!
Or take Milo Yiannopoulos a gay Jewish libertarian/conservative. The protected classes that should protect Yiannopoulos become irrelevant when modified by the word conservative. His mere appearance on a college campus causes an assault on the First Amendment by the entire campus population. Mario Savio was the patron saint of the Berkeley Free Speech Movement at the USC campus in the 1960’s but he must be openly weeping when he looks down on the new brown shirts of von Schirach. One school official opposed removing protestors because that would be an assault on their right to free speech. A non-sequitur that will no doubt be beyond the comprehension of the unenlightened youngsters who are pissing away money on tuition.
How about unemployment? For eight years the responsible media pointed out that the unemployment rate ballyhooed by the late and unlamented Obama administration was not a true reflection of the number of people who were “unemployed”. The main stream media dutifully ignored the U-6 rate which includes those individuals who have become unemployed but who have stopped looking for work. They simply don’t exist when the unemployment rate is calculated by the political class. So Obama was basking in the glow of a declining employment rate. Now that Trump is in the White House the main stream media has suddenly discovered the U-6 unemployment rate and has suggested that the good news is really bad news because the U-6 rate is very troubling. Keep your eye on the numbers as the millennials exit commencement ceremonies and pass directly to the U-6 database. Unemployment like homelessness is only an issue when there is a Republican in the White House.
Confrontations with reality will be especially jarring because the left and their neo-Nazi campus rent a mob protesters/rioters are incapable of understanding how the world actually works. In short, they amplify their stupidity with their arrogance (source of this wonderful comment unknown).
Take, for example, public education in the US. There is a great hue and cry about the nomination of Betsy Devos to be Secretary of Education. And, sadly, this opposition is not driven by the fact that Devos is not planning to abolish that useless failed agency. Devos is opposed by the teacher unions and protectors of the status quo. One failing of the left is the absolute inability to recognize that the public schools have failed and have proven antithetical to the very concept of education. If you are unable to identify failure then you will not be able to embrace any effort to “fix” something you don’t know is actually broken. The left has no problem with the fact that 47% of the adults in Detroit are functional illiterates. Apparently those steadfast defenders of the status quo see no need to correct that horrific statistic because it is a NIMBY problem and it does not impact the self-centric universe of the snowflakes. Devos will bring necessary new initiatives to the system because the system is clearly broken. And for that she will be violently opposed even though the inner-city residents in most large metropolitan areas favor magnet and charter schools…any alternative to the public education that the government has foisted upon them. Sadly their voices can not be heard.
Another classic example is the folly known as Obamacare. The snowflakes are adamantly opposed to repealing the law in large part because it is perceived as “free”. There is no regard for the fact that it is a disaster having failed to meet any of the promises made by the former President (the word former in this application is a total upper). Costs are up both for insurance and medical services. We have provided insurance (at taxpayer expense) for a number of people who did not have it in the past and we have caused even more people lose their insurance. The number of uninsured is now higher than when we started the Bataan death march toward national health care. To which the media says…please ignore the man behind the curtain and any facts that he may put forth. They refuse to recognize that the legislation has failed and must be replaced. One would think the parasite class would embrace anything prefaced by the word free, say in this case the FREE market.
The hoax that is man-made climate change has become an indisputable fact for the millennials, a religious certitude. Facts have no role in the discussion. The more the model projections fail the more they become “settled science”. This is a subject that will never be debated because it would require a full frontal contact with reality together with all of the attendant psychological devastation to the snowflakes. Participation trophies for one and all.
The millennials are ideophobes…they fear new ideas. Progressives are anti-progress and appear to want to conserve the worst of the status quo which, ironically, makes them conservatives! Tell that to a liberal and their heads will explode…please capture that event for YouTube.
