In a prior post “Continental Divide” there was a discussion of the deep divisions within this country. Based on the abysmal performance of Team Biden it is time for us to review the words of the Declaration of Independence and the long list of grievances against the rule of King George. Many of those grievances are in play today. Sadly most Americans have little or no understanding of the magnificence of the American experience and seem unaware that truth has become a casualty of our social discourse and the concentration of power at the Federal level. Read carefully the words of Thomas Paine:

“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.”

To call the Biden Administration a kakistocracy is to insult mediocrity. To call it a dumpster fire would only trigger global warming hysteria in the fevered minds of the short school bus gaggle known as the “squad”. It should be pointed out that the leadership of this administration is an application of the Peter Principle on steroids. Think what you will about the feckless leadership of Mitch McConnell it should be noted that he kept Merrick Garland off the Supreme Court. Garland is the male version of Sonya Sotomayor…neither is intellectually qualified to sit on the Supreme Court. Jen Psaki seems incapable of recognizing the truth and we will circle back on this… Tony Blinken is in over his head the minute he jumps out of bed in the morning. Joint Chiefs Chairman Milley Vanilli is lip syncing the catechism of CRT. DHS Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas thinks our southern border abuts Tierra del Fuego. VP Kamala Harris has become the stunt double for Waldo in the famous children’s search game…which I am sure Biden plays while eating his tapioca.

So what does this carousel of incompetence portend for our future?

This is a team that is positively Neroesque! We are entering, I fear, a period that could be the transition to what George Orwell wrote about in his dystopian novel 1984. Critical Race Theory is an historical perversion designed to divide the country along racial lines. The Ministry of Truth is engaged in practices that hearken back to the Alien and Sedition Act of 1798 and The Sedition Act of 1918. The meaning of words is no longer based on Noah Webster but rather is changed to obfuscate the truth (Read: Speechless by Michael Knowles). Government policy is based on fear rather than open and honest dialogue (Read: State of Fear by Michael Crichton). Transparency of governance is dead and buried. The fourth estate has become the mouthpiece of leftist politics and objectivity has ceased to exist. Education is an exercise in state propaganda. This vortex of second rate minds is frightening.

Biden promised “transparency”, “adult supervision”, “inclusion”, “an end to corruption” and “a healing of our nation after the divisiveness of Trump”. In baseball parlance Biden is 0 for 5.

Jen Psaki is to transparency what blackout curtains were to the people of London in the Second World War…designed to prevent the escape of any glimmer of light. When she runs from a tough question she makes Usain Bolt look like a paraplegic. The remaining Americans in Afghanistan aren’t “stranded” they are “stuck”…a difference without a distinction. The people on planes grounded on the tarmac in Kabul aren’t held hostage, the planes are. Defunding the police is a Republican program…please ignore the fact that Defund the Police is painted on 16th Avenue near the White House with the approval of the Democrat Mayor of the District of Columbia. Dr. Anthony Fauci is a one person opacity fun house complete with smoke and crazy mirrors.

Biden is to adult supervision what the characters in Lord of the Flies are to adult behavior. Our President is petulant and nasty and one could argue that checking your watch every five minutes during the “dignified transfer” of our fallen warriors killed in Afghanistan is childish. What exactly is the houseplant’s attention span? It has been reported that members of his staff mute or turn off his live performances so they can act surprised later when the latest verbal droppings from the gaffe machine hit the fan. The one sigma execution of the ill-planned evacuation of Afghanistan hardly constitutes an adult performance.

Does the ongoing effort to marginalize Trump and everyone who voted for him constitute inclusion? This week there were routine comparisons of Texas legislators to the Taliban. Identity politics and critical race theory are designed to create and perpetuate division. Declaring the entire white population to be racist, white supremacists and/or products of white privilege could be perceived as divisive. Calling common sense protection of election integrity Jim Crow Part Deux manifests a total ignorance of history and the truth about the Democrat policies that comprised Jim Crow. Treating those who choose not to get the COVID vaccine as lepers hardly seems designed to bring us closer together.

Biden has not ended corruption, he has merely built better protections for corrupt practices, starting with his family…Hunter Biden call your office (at the Metropolitan Museum of Art). Raise the issue of voter fraud in 2020 and you get bounced off social media…please ignore the counterfeit ballots (Arizona), dead people voting (nationwide) and ballots counted twice (Georgia). Our Attorney General threatens any state which dares to audit the vote…what is he so afraid of? Unscrupulous behavior…Biden is thy name!

Try to think of one policy decision from Team Biden that is designed to or has the effect of healing our nation. No President has ever been treated as maliciously as Donald Trump. Despite Biden’s offensive line (LT Facebook, LG CNN, C Google, RG MSDNC and RT Twitter) the truth about the last four years is bubbling to the surface. The entire Russian collusion narrative has completely unraveled. The media and the Ministry of Truth have tried unsuccessfully to airbrush from the record Trump’s many accomplishments (lowest Black unemployment ever recorded, lowest Black teen unemployment ever recorded, energy independence to name but three). On January 17, 2017 the Washington Post announced that “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.” And he hadn’t even been sworn in yet! Our VP Waldo Harris said before the election that she would never take the vaccine if Trump had anything to do with its development. Now they are discussing mandatory vaccines for one and all. The January 6 “insurrection” is now being truth tested and found wanting. How do you have an “armed” insurrection without actually being armed? How many FBI undercover agents were involved in the event? Trump, the movie will be produced and directed by Steven Spielberg, with writing credits to Charles Dodgson, Michael Avenatti, Michael Moore, Hilliary Clinton and Pinocchio .

As Philip Dick said: “Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.”

A question that is being bandied about is whether Biden is just incompetent or are the acts of his team intentionally designed to undermine American greatness. The instinctive reaction is to assume incompetence because Biden is, after all, the dumbest man ever to take the oath of office. The execution of the evacuation of Afghanistan is the QED of that assumption. But that seems too simple as we watch the southern border being overrun by illegal immigrants (many with COVID), unvetted Afghan refugees being brought in by the thousands, the reversal of our energy independence and the inflationary pressures building. Note that Cubans were specifically told not to try to enter our country, I assume because they tend to vote Republican when they get here and we can’t have that. This is all way beyond incompetence even for the inept team Biden has assembled.

The alternative argument is that the people who are actually running our government do not have America’s best interests at heart. From 2017 to 2021 Trump did a Toto as he pulled back the curtain behind which the wizard, i.e. the deep state, was handling the levers of power. For that he was punished for those four years.

At this point please go back and reread the words of Thomas Paine because these are, indeed, trying times.

In the Declaration of Independence there is a bill of particulars apprising King George of our grievances. Some may apply today:

  1. “He has refused his Assent to Laws”: Our DOJ is threatening anyone who is intent on proving election law violations.
  2. “He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws”: Team Biden has challenged state election laws, abortion laws and the failure to implement mask or vaccine mandates.
  3. “He has obstructed the Administration of Justice”: The Biden Administration has refused to accept a Supreme Court decision ending the moratorium on rent payments.
  4. “He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people”: They have used public officials to pursue COVID restrictions, limit access to guns and ammunition and force the teaching of CRT in our schools.
  5. “(I)mposing Taxes on us without our Consent”: They are already threatening heavy new taxes and inflation is a deadly form of taxation.
  6. “(D)eclaring themselves invested with the power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever”: Team Biden is working assiduously to concentrate all legislative power in Washington.

There do not appear to be many Representatives or Senators who are concerned with these issues. We are not suggesting that we need a revolution but we need to raise awareness among the electorate because “it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated”. We need a clarion call to restore American greatness.

Things to ponder:

A young woman who is part of the Fa-Antifa movement has gone public and her CV is fascinating. She attended the tony St. Lawrence University (annual cost $73,000) which is heavily populated by very rich white students. Her Senior Thesis topic: Organizational Structures at protests against free trade agreements. Based on that thesis what are your career options? Professional protester?

Buried in the Biden Budget Bill is a proposed $235 million payment to the Appalachian Regional Commission. Why, you may ask, do we need to make this “investment”? Turns out Senator Joe Manchin’s wife is the Co-chair of this august body. Do you believe in coincidence?

Obama added 16 MM people to the food stamp program. Trump removed 5 MM people. Biden seems intent on reversing Trump’s positive trend.

How would you like to see Obama as the GM of your favorite sports team? He traded five Taliban terrorists for a traitor, Bowe Bergdahl. Four of those terrorists are now members of the all-male Taliban ruling junta in Afghanistan. Makes the Lou Brock for Ernie Broglio trade look balanced.

In the 1964 State of the Union address LBJ declared an unconditional war on poverty designed to erase systemic poverty. This confirmed that LBJ was utterly ignorant of (a) economics, and (b) human nature. Rule of thumb: If you pay for something you will get more of it. Poverty has flourished, just like the Taliban, as a result of a Washington driven “war”.

Andrew Cuomo was responsible for more than 10,000 COVID deaths in New York and then he was accused by a dozen women of sexual harassment but he couldn’t survive once it was discovered that he abandoned the family dog in the Governor’s Mansion. Don’t cross PETA!

Russian dissident Igor Shafarevich criticized his Communist masters and correctly predicted Democrat Party policies in the 21st Century: “Historical relics (statues) are destroyed instead of preserved , ancient cities and streets are given new names.” All intended to erase our past.

In Wilmington a woman stood at a large meeting and tearfully confessed her white privilege. She had two books for Show and Tell: A History of the Wilmington Yacht Club and A History of the Wilmington Country Club. Gavel it down, case closed. Questions that should have been asked: How many white plumbers were members of these organizations? White carpenters? White construction workers? The Yacht Club and the Country Club were not “white privilege” but rather class privilege. Ask Sheldon Whitehouse!
