The dictionary provides the following definition of the elite: a select group that is superior in terms of ability or qualities to the rest of society, in other words, an aristocracy. The “superiority” is, in almost every case, an immodest self-identification driven entirely by ego. A synonym for the word elite is: World Economic Forum (WEF). This gaggle of our betters met recently in Davos, Switzerland, a lily-white town of extraordinary wealth. The Loudoun County of Switzerland.

A more appropriate location for the WEF meetings would be the Palace of Versailles, located about 10 miles from Paris. The Palace is the virtual definition of aristocratic ostentation and vainglory. Louis XIV, the Sun King, completed construction of the Palace and moved his court to Versailles in 1682. The Hall of Mirrors is an exercise in extravagance. The mirrors allowed the French aristocracy to surround themselves with, well, images of themselves. In an earlier era Versailles would have been where Nero played his fiddle. Decisions were made at Versailles that would impact les déplorables Francais. It is fair to say that very few of those affected had any knowledge of the political machinations of the Sun King and his sycophantic underlings.

It would not be a stretch of one’s imagination to believe that Klaus Martin Schwab, founder of the WEF, would be very comfortable using the Louis XIV invocation…”L’etat c’est moi.” Rough translation: “I am the state”. If anyone in the WEF actually believed in God they would claim to be merely exercising the divine right of the ruling class, the belief that their power flowed, down a solid line, from a supreme being. Schwab is German and he embraces the historic Germanic appreciation of autocratic rule. He appears to be auditioning for the role of Big Brother.

It will come as no surprise that Herr Schwab has a degree from the Kennedy School at Harvard.

The Davos confab is the Cirque du Soleil of political megalomania. Entertainment is provided by a number of jesters and clowns complete with cap ‘n’ bells. Al-Gore, St. Greta of Thunberg, Leonardo DiCaprio and John Kerry are whisked in on private jets to strut their ignorance on a world stage. Moral preening is much in evidence. The WEF collection of narcissistic doomsayers are bent on scaring the common folk into surrendering all power to this kakistocracy such that they can save the world…whether it actually needs to be saved or not. They want to use their “influence to make positive changes”…to be imposed on the little people.

Among the topics addressed by the glitterati are:

Climate change: “The climate crisis cannot wait. But now the geopolitical reasons are evident, too. We have to diversify away from fossil fuels. We have already set our course towards climate neutrality. Now, we must accelerate our clean energy transition.”

Pandemics: “The dramatic spread of COVID-19 has disrupted lives, livelihoods, communities and businesses worldwide. All stakeholders, especially global business, must urgently come together to minimize its impact on public health and limit its potential for further disruption to lives and economies around the world.

But the sum of many individual actions will not add up to a sufficient response. Only coordinated action by business, combined with global, multi-stakeholder cooperation – at exceptional scale and speed – can potentially mitigate the risk and impact of this unprecedented crisis.”

Inflation: A speaker at the meeting in Davos noted that “more and more countries and companies, already battered by two years of COVID-19, and all the resulting supply-chain issues must now cope with rising prices for energy as a direct result of Putin’s unpardonable war.” The resulting inflation will be painful, the speaker noted, but it must be endured for the good of the world.

This last point is particularly galling. There is not a single participant at the WEF gathering that will even notice inflation. The full adverse impact will fall, not surprisingly, on the poor around the world…comprised mostly of people of color. This is true also of the policies designed to address the so-called climate crisis.

The WEF is comprised almost entirely of very rich, privileged white people. Their contact with the poor is generally confined to dealing with the wait staff, housekeepers and landscapers. It is fair to say that they are comfortable in their economic bubble and are completely unsympathetic as to the impact that the proposed climate solutions and inflationary policies will have on sub-Saharan Africa and the poor around the world.

It can be argued that these misguided elitists are basically racists protecting their gated world in Switzerland. Herewith are examples of their overt racism:

1.3 billion people do not have access to electricity. The vast majority of those powerless souls (both literally and figuratively) are people of color. Invariably the prescription for dealing with the non-existent climate crisis involves reducing future production of cheap, accessible energy for the world. It is unrealistic to believe that solar panels and avian Cuisinarts, aka wind turbines, will play a viable role in sub-Saharan Africa. This seems designed to ensure that the third world poor will be unable to gain a promotion to the second or first worlds.

In addition the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has unhelpfully killed the Inga Dam project that would have produced 50 gigawatts of renewable energy to central Africa. And do not forget that Rachel Carson’s silly book Silent Spring managed to get DDT banned worldwide and this resulted in a surge in malaria deaths. Malaria had been all but eliminated worldwide until the DDT ban. Malaria disproportionately impacts people of color.

This is the world that the WEF wants to create. The poor, especially people of color, will suffer the most and Margaret Sanger will be smiling somewhere. In addition they want to control the distribution of information that loyal foot soldiers like Nina Jankowicz label as mis or disinformation. We must oppose the WEF with every fiber of our being because Herr Schwab and his elite acolytes will bring us quickly to the world described in 1984. Make Orwell Fiction Again!

  1. So, your thesis is that government intervention messes up the efficiency of our free society. Worse yet, these interventions are schemed by the “elites”. Would be interesting to watch the baby formula debacle and how it may fit your premise. .
