With respect to the title of this post apologies to Action Comics, Clark Kent and Superman.
Truth and justice in America are being subverted. Truth is determined by fact and reality. But what happens when fact and reality are manipulated by the media, the political class and the Ministry of Truth (MOT)? What happens when the people in power become the arbiters of mis and disinformation? Today censorship is destroying the quest for truth and justice. And to make matters worse there is no accountability for those who abuse the American justice system to their political advantage.
The Democrats support the defunding of local police. Yet they fail to see the connection between the implementation of that perverse policy and the asymptotic increase in crime in urban areas across the country. The elimination of bail has required the installation of revolving doors in every police station. There are many examples of criminals who have been charged in excess of 100 times for crimes ranging from theft to assault. Apparently they earn frequent flyer miles in those revolving doors. Soros backed “prosecutors” think nothing of dismissing serious charges and ignoring sentencing guidelines. Carjackings are on the rise everywhere and Chicago remains a killing field of young black men. Several cities are on record stating that their police departments are woefully understaffed and they will not be responding to certain crimes such as domestic violence. If this is not injustice then we are already through Charles Dodgson’s looking glass. And who pays the price for this abandonment of urban law and order (rhetorical question alert)?
This subject is scrupulously ignored by our political leaders, the MOT and tragically our Department of Injustice. Raise the crime issue and Biden becomes an astronomer.
Merrick Garland has, on a number of occasions, looked into the cameras and stated, utterly without any sense of irony, that he administers justice “without fear or favor”. This is risible in light of his refusal to investigate Hunter Biden, point man for the Biden crime family, (even as FBI agents rifle Baron Trump’s bedroom at Mar-a-lago), his turning a blind eye to Hilliary Clinton’s abuse of classified information, his opposition to any investigation of potential voter fraud in 2020 and his suggestion that parents challenging school boards might be “domestic terrorists”. This intellectual mediocrity is a caricature of a defender of justice. Think what you will of Mitch McConnell, front man for the Deep State, but he will be forever remembered as the man who kept Garland off the Supreme Court.
The 2020 election provides a poignant lesson about the search for truth and justice. Joseph Heller wrote a wonderful book entitled Catch 22. The story is about a military man, claiming to be insane, seeking a Section 8 discharge during World War II. He claims that he is mentally unfit because he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions which in his mind are acts of insanity. The military counters that the very act of making the request proves that he is sane and therefore he is ineligible to be discharged under Section 8.
The catch 22 “logic” can be applied to the argument about voter fraud in American elections. Hopefully we can agree that election fraud is a threat to democracy. But we have a Department of Injustice and a sycophantic MOT that identify any claim of voter fraud to be a threat to democracy. A catch 22! In fact our invertebrate Attorney General has threatened any state or local government that wants to investigate claims of fraud. So riddle me this: how do we investigate potential election fraud if for no other purpose than to make sure such a threat to democracy never happens again? How do we ensure that future elections are free and fair? In the interim let us stop identifying every disagreement as a “threat to democracy”, a phrase that we can be certain has been widely poll tested with the Democrat Party lemmings.
So to paraphrase the theme of the movie Death Takes a Holiday under Biden truth and justice have taken a holiday. Truth is no longer the coin of the realm and the concept of justice is as devalued as the US dollar. And it begs the question…how do we teach our young people the concept of civic responsibility? What will they come to expect from our system of laws and the rights guaranteed in the Constitution? What does this mean to the future of our civil society?
Ponder the following…
Our pathetic excuse of a President has been a practicing plagiarist for most of his adult life. From law school to the Senate floor to the hustings Biden has passed off other people’s words and ideas as his own. So no one should be the least bit surprised to find that on September 1, 2022, Biden chose to plagiarize Hitler’s 1936 speech given at a National Socialist German Worker’s Party (NAZI) Rally in Nuremberg. Simply replace the word “Jews” with “MAGA voters” and Biden’s speech positively exudes the same hatred and division that Herr Hitler rode to power. Jennifer Rubin, ludicrously described as a “conservative political commentator”, tweeted out her enthusiastic embrasure of the Biden’s vitriolic diatribe by suggesting that the time has come for “mass arrests”.
It is difficult to imagine an American actually calling for mass arrests. Democrat Woodrow Wilson enforced the 1918 Sedition Act with targeted enthusiasm. FDR and Earl Warren presided over the internment of ethnic Japanese people residing in America. Tailgunner Joe McCarthy never made that leap but he targeted anyone who had even a tangential contact with what he perceived to be the international Communist conspiracy. But these excursions from our Constitutional protections occurred during World Wars I and II and the Cold War respectively.
It is a short step from McCarthy’s obsession with Communism to Biden’s irrational fixation on MAGA/UltraMAGA/Semi-fascists, aka Trump supporters.
It takes no stretch of one’s imagination to believe that the vertiginous Ms. Rubin would encourage Herr Biden to engage in mass incarceration of his political opponents. In fact the treatment of the January 6 “insurrectionists” would seem to be a precursor of such a policy. He has, after all, his Hitlerian Brownshirts (the foot soldiers of fascist-Antifa and Some Black Lives Matter) ready and willing to take their brand of terrorism to the streets…yet again. Note that these violent, lethal riots have been studiously ignored by the media and the MOT as well as the FBI and the Department of Injustice.
Then there is Christopher Ray and his corrupt FBI, Biden’s Gestapo, ready to initiate the roundup of Trump supporters having sharpened up their skills on Peter Navarro, Roger Stone and Scott Smith. Try to imagine any of the following actually happening…the FBI executes a raid the private home of a former US President, Biden’s principal political opponent. The FBI, with the enthusiastic support of the DOJ, develops a domestic terrorist database to identify parents who have the temerity to challenge local school boards. FBI agents work hand in glove with the MOT to ensure that the personal laptop of the “the big guy’s” son is kept under wraps during the election cycle. And here is a novel idea…use undercover FBI agents to confect a plot to kidnap a state governor and blow her to smithereens. It is sobering to note that these previously unimaginable schemes have already been test driven by Ray’s FBI.
So what is the driver of this descent into authoritarian madness? In part it is Stage 5 Trump Derangement Syndrome which seems to justify a bending, folding, spindling and mutilation of our justice system. Political disagreements are being criminalized and it seems to be supported by the untruth and injustice that has become the Democrat Party way. The national moral compass has lost true North.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi attributes her “connection” with the people of China to the fact that she believed as a child she could dig deep enough at the beach to reach China. Using the same logic many of my generation have a “connection” with Koreans because our mothers told us to clean our plates because people in Korea are starving.
Douglas Murray, in his wonderful book, The War on the West, includes a chapter on Gratitude. His argument is that we no longer imbue our children with a sense of gratitude for those gifts that we have been given by Western Civilization. In fact our schools today seek to denigrate and vilify all that has come before us.
We must spifflicate the Leftists who are working so hard to undermine the American dream.
Alexander Stevens, Vice President of the Confederate States and lifelong Democrat celebrated their new constitution because: “Our new government is founded upon exactly the opposite idea; its foundations are laid, its corner-stone rests, upon the great truth that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery subordination to the superior race is his natural and normal condition.” Perhaps instead of canceling Lincoln at places like Cornell University we should show gratitude for his single minded effort to save our nation and defeat the Democrat white supremacists of the Confederacy.

The premise of this volume is that the mass media in the 1960s and 70s worked to mislead the American public about events in Southeast Asia. They manipulated and censored information. As Al Gore had not yet invented the internet the willing idiots of the big three networks and the major newspapers did all the heavy lifting.
